Meta Nikel - Zorlu Group Cobalt / Nickel Refining Facility

The nickel refinery project is one of the most comprehensive projects in the mining sector in Turkey over the last few years. Teknokon served as the main construction and mechanics contractor in the Meta Nickel Refinery Project and undertook the procurement, manufacturing and installation of all the site tanks and all piping, civil works, structural steel installation works, insulation, and scaffolding services. Teknokon also provided commissioning and maintenance services.

Detailed Scope of Works

Design and Engineering: Tank drawings
Fabrication: 24 tanks (carbon steel, LDX, super duplex and alloyed field)
Civil Works: Excavation and backfilling, concrete foundations for the, tanks, equipments, steel structures, and pipe racks
Structural Steel Erection: Fabrication and erection of 3,500 tons of steel structure, pipe rack, other structures
Equipment Installation: Field installation of 24 tanks (carbon steel, LDX, super duplex and alloyed), process and utility equipments
Piping Erection: Fabrication and erection of 600 tons of stainless steel and 400 tons of carbon steel piping
Insulation: Insulation of all pipings, tanks and equipments
